The HKIA Gold Medal award was first established in 2020 to recognize the consistent, significant, and outstanding contributions made to Hong Kong's architectural profession by the city's bright and gifted architects. The Award Presentation Ceremony was arranged to recognize the winners' accomplishments and provide friends and family members an opportunity to take part in an event of such importance. The HKIA Gold Medal 2021 Recipient is Prof. LAU Sau Shing Patrick. The prize presentation ceremony was held on 18 Aug 2022 with the launch of “Architectural Excellence Fund” to support architectural education.
